Thank you to all who came to the Cookie Exchange. It was so much fun to try everyone's cookies and hear your Christmas Traditions. If you could please take a moment and post your tradition as a comment, that way others who weren't able to attend can still hear everyone's traditions and we can hear theirs.

Playgroup - Field Trip

Wednesday November 24th. We are going to Jungle Jim's (739 East Fort Union Blvd. in Midvale). This is a community activity so feel free to bring family and friends. The cost is $8 / children, $5 / 2 and under and adults are free. Make sure to bring your Happenings book because there is a 2 for 1 coupon in it (Lori Sanderson has 2 extra coupons if you don't have a book or need more)

We are meeting at the church at 10:30 it opens at 11:00. You get a wrist band so you can come and go all day long.

Some of the attractions are playground, bumper cars, swings, games, carousel, jeep patrol, flying jets, roller coaster. Here is a link to their website if you'd like more information on it:

Lesson for Sunday November 28th

Sisters please take a min and read through President Eyring's talk from the priesthood session, Serve with the Spirit, pg 59 in the Nov. Ensign. We can gain so much more from a lesson when we take a few mins to prepare for it.

Meet Saturday, November 20th at 10:00 am.....at Chelsea Jackson's. We're having a Brunch too....so it can't get any better..... Make gifts, learn fun things, visit, and eat too. Even if you are not making anything....stop by to see what it is all about !!!! If you have any questions please call Chelsea or Kristine. (Leave the kids home with Dad for a fun Saturday morning out)

Change to Quarterly Activity

We had a conflict come up with our original "Date Night" quarterly activity. Instead we will be having the Cookie Exchange / Christmas traditions that night. So mark your calendars for Thursday Dec 9th at 6:30! More details to follow.

We are so excited to finally have a blog up and running. It is still a work in progress so please be patient as we play around and try to figure out the best way to post things. If you have any suggestions on changes or info you'd like to see please leave a comment.

We're working on getting the picture directory on here, but we'll need to make it a private blog once that happens.

November Activities

Cooking Group:

Meet Thursday, November 11th at 7:00 pm at Lori Sanderson, . The theme this time is "Holiday Side Dishes". With large family groups you may need some new ideas of side dishes to take to Holiday dinners. Bring your favorite and try some new ones. Bring your prepared dish and a copy of the recipe or email the recipe to Jen Parker. She is one of the Cooking Group Leaders and will type them up and share them with everyone by email and blog. Provident Living will share info on Poison & Prevention. Great info !!!

Girl's Make N' Take Activity:
(Leave the kids home with Dad for a fun Saturday morning out)
Must Sign-up and pay by Sunday November 14th!
Meet Saturday, November 20th at 10:00 am.....at Chelsea Jackson's. This is a special activity designed to help you learn new skills while making affordable Christmas gifts for family and friends.
Look for the display table set up on Sunday, Nov 14th.... by the RS room, to show you the items available for you to make. There will be a FHE Board, a wreath, and 1 jewelry item. You will need to sign up for the items you wish to make. The price will be listed for each item. We must collect the money on Sunday, Nov 14th so that Chelsea will have time to have all the supplies needed. If you have any questions contact Chelsea Jackson our Make N' Take Group Leader.

Play Group:
Meets weekly on Wednesdays---designed for Sisters with kids that day
Wednesday 10:30.This week meet at THE CHURCH. Bring a toy to share. Also bring a snack or lunch if you would like. Any questions, call Lori Sanderson or Erica Prestwich.

Communinty Lunch Group:
Normally Meets the 4th Wed.---Monthly---designed for Sisters without kids that day
Meet Wednesday, November 17th at 11:30 am.....Pot Luck Holiday Brunch !!!!!
